Shannon Kirsch, PT, DPT

Shannon Kirsch, PT, DPT

Shannon obtained her degree in Physical Therapy from the University of North Dakota and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Des Moines University. Shannon has over 25 years specializing in women's/men's pelvic health physical therapy including treatment of pregnancy related pain, bowel/bladder dysfunction, pelvic pain and post-surgical rehabilitation.

Shannon is originally from Minot, ND but has lived in the Rapid City for over 25 years. In her spare time she enjoys outdoor activities in the Black Hills, exercising, cooking and spending time with her three children, Madison, Kennedy and Ryder.

Karl Kirsch, PT, DPT

Karl Kirsch, PT, DPT

Karl received his BSPT degree from the University of North Dakota and his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Des Moines University School of Osteopathy. He received specialty certification in spinal manual therapy from the McKenzie Institute. He has additional training in manual therapy from Evidence in Motion, including Level Two Advanced Dry Needling Certification. Karl is a certified blood flow restriction therapist and trained in treating vestibular disorders. He has over 25 years of experience treating neck, back and orthopedic injuries.

Karl grew up in the Badlands and enjoys hunting, hiking, and spending time with friends and family.

Carey Poehls, DPT, OCS

Carey Poehls, DPT, OCS

Carey received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Montana. She is a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist and also has her Level One Dry Needling Certification from Evidence in Motion. She enjoys treating orthopedic and vestibular conditions for patients of all ages. Carey also has special interest and experience in treating pelvic health patients including pelvic pain, incontinence, pregnancy and postpartum pain.

Carey and her husband, Charlie, love spending time in the Black Hills and enjoy hiking, biking and camping.

Kelly Chocholousek, PT

Kelly Chocholousek, PT

Kelly graduated from Iowa State University and received her Master's degree in Physical Therapy from the University of South Dakota. She has completed advanced training in the areas of geriatric physical therapy as well as spinal stabilization, myofascial release, and osteoporosis. Kelly has completed Level One Dry Needling Certification from Evidence in Motion. Kelly is also skilled in IASTM (Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization). She enjoys working with patients of all ages with a variety of physical therapy needs.

Kelly was born in Iowa, but grew up in Rapid City and graduated from Stevens High School. Kelly is married with 2 young children, and enjoys spending as much time with them as possible. They love having the Black Hills as their "playground." She also greatly enjoys golfing, cooking, gardening, teaching spinning/cycling class, and following Iowa State college football and basketball.

Jenni Murray, PT

Jenni Murray, PT

Jenni received her degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Minnesota in 1996. Since then, she has specialized in treating cardio-pulmonary conditions, dizziness and imbalance, lymphedema, and myofascial injuries and disorders. She is a certified lymphedema therapist and is also certified to perform dry needling. She has extensive experience treating a vast array of orthopedic and neurological conditions and in post-surgical and geriatric rehabilitation as well. Jenni loves working with her patients to form a comprehensive treatment plan to restore them to the highest quality of life possible.

Jenni was raised in Rapid City, and in her free time, she enjoys spending time with her daughter, family and friends. She enjoys hiking, 4-wheeling, hunting and anything else that allows her to spend time in our beautiful Black Hills.

Kathleen Boyle, OT

Kathleen Boyle, OT

Kathleen has practiced Occupational Therapy for over 25 years. She has attended numerous post graduate education/training courses through Jefferson Medical College, Philadelphia, PA and through the American Society of Hand Therapists. Kathy specializes in the treatment of acute and post-surgical hand, wrist and elbow injuries. She is certified in modality utilization. Kathy has taken the Matheson System certification training for Functional Capacity Evaluations and performs ergonomic assessments for pre- and post-injury needs.

Kathleen is a native of North Dakota, but has made the Black Hills her home for the past 23 years. She is a wife and mother enjoying family time, quilting, reading, and the arts.

Madison Palmer, PTA

Madison Palmer, PTA

Madison graduated from Lake Area Technical College in Watertown SD receiving her Associates of Applied Science degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Madison is a kind, caring, compassionate person who loves working with her patients, assisting them in the wonderful journey that is physical therapy. Madison was born and raised in Jamestown, North Dakota. She attended Jamestown High School and graduated in 2019. She enjoys camping, fishing, getting together with friends and family, shopping, and spending time with her nephews.

Vonda Jones, Office Manager

Vonda Jones, Office Manager

Vonda graduated from Northland Baptist Bible College with a Bachelor's degree in Church Secretarial Science in 1998. She then worked at a church in Colorado for 9 years before going to Thailand as a missionary for almost 6 years. Vonda's dad suffered a series of strokes and it was at that time that she gained an understanding and interest in the fields of physical and occupational therapy. Vonda started working at PT-OT Professionals as a receptionist in 2017 before becoming office manager in 2018.

Vonda grew up in Wyoming and Nebraska before moving to Rapid City during high school. She enjoys exploring the Black Hills, traveling, cooking, reading, sewing and playing piano.
